Good air is paramount in healthy plant growth. Without it, it doesn't matter how great the lights are, or how amazing the hydroponic system is - plants will wilt and die fast. Air is responsible for providing oxygen to the plants, as well as small amounts of water vapor, and in our systems to force out hot air out. Keeping air moving over leaves, getting rid of the hot used air, and even cooling it down for your type of plant is something the Flora-Cube excels at. We control the climate.

Bringing Cool Air In

The first thing to consider in any indoor growing environment is how to get the air into the unit. We accomplish this with a powerful, yet quiet, rear mounted intake fan. It's job is to bring cool air in from the rear of the machine, as well as to circulate the air around the volume of the unit. Fresh air means healthy plants.

Exhausting Heated Air

Usually, an excess of hot air is not good for plants. The heat generated from the bulb needs to get exhausted out of the growing environment as soon as possible, to keep desired temperatures in range. We all know hot air rises up. So above and behind the bulbs, we have mounted a powerful, but quiet exhaust fan to rid the system of any heat that is unwanted. The means temperatures stay moderate, despite using very bright lights. Bright lights mean green, vibrant plants! You have the best of both worlds. Bright light and little heat.

Co2 for Enhancing Plant Growth

Co2 for optimal plant growth; 40% increased yields

In nature, plants breathe in co2, and exhale oxygen. Co2 is necessary for plant growth. The more of it there is in the air, the faster a plant will grow. Our designers have engineered a way to artificially elevate the co2 levels in the chamber to 1500 parts per million; nature is only 2-300 ppm. The ideal level to skyrocket plant growth. Available in the deluxe version is this powerful steroid for plants. But unlike in humans, co2 is perfectly healthy for plants.

Co2 essentially doubles the growth rate of any plant at any given time. So if two plants were grown in identical conditions, the one with elevated co2 will have grown about twice as fast, at the end of 30 days. Co2 alone dramatically increases plants performance, and growth rates. It is simple to use and perfectly safe to breathe - after all, we exhale co2 ourselves when breathing out. Plants love it.
